The Library depends heavily on the support of our patrons, which, in turn, allows us to offer the most up-to-date materials, programs, and services. While we are grateful to the Town of Sharon for their support (28% of our operating costs), private donations pay for the majority of our expenses. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted us severely, forcing us to cancel our major in-person fundraising events. As we continue to provide our patrons with books, audiobooks, and dvds, we have increased access to downloadable eBooks and audiobooks. All of these things are expensive, as is the cost of maintaining our historic building. We, quite simply, could not do all of this without your help. Please, therefore, consider a tax-deductible gift to the library. Donate here with a credit card or send a check to:

Please join our Capital Campaign, Honoring the Past, Forging the Future, and help us reach our goal of $3 million. Our renovation and expansion project will make the building fully accessible, while returning our fully restored, beautiful, historic interior to public use. A new Community Room will host both children’s and adult programs. The latest in technology will provide a true 21st-century library experience in our gorgeous 1893 space.
Maria Hotchkiss Society and President’s Circle
Donors at the highest levels enjoy the benefits of the Maria Hotchkiss Society. This financial leadership is critical to our financial health. Members enjoy a private reception with an author or other well-known speaker. The greatest reward, however, is knowing what this level of support means for the Library. We thank these donors for their support, which occurred between July 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021. We aim to update these listings quarterly. Your ongoing generosity is what allows us to provide no cost services to our community. Many thanks! Please consider joining, by donating here, or sending a check to:
