A Stand Magnifier to Benefit Low-Vision Patrons

Former staff member Mary Walters and her husband Art, who reside in Sharon, have donated a stand magnifier that will greatly enhance reading for low-vision residents. The ClearView Go HD Magnifier is available for use throughout the library, allowing patrons to magnify and read text from printed sources or a device such as a phone or tablet. A similar device has been a game changer for Mary, who suffers from macular degeneration. She has purchased this magnifier to make life easier for fellow library patrons and has asked that we lend it to Town Hall for elections. The Board and Staff of the Hotchkiss Library of Sharon are grateful for this very generous gift. Thank you, Mary and Art.
